Network Engineer

FiSci Technologies is a budding, high-tech startup looking for enthusiastic talent in Madison, Wisconsin. Currently, we have an opening for a network engineer in which an individual would be responsible for providing Tier 2 technical support to our clients, setting up wireless testing environments, working on other internal NFV/SDN related projects, and providing technical training to our prospective clients.

The ideal candidate will be one who has strong work ethic and experienced in support and design of wireless internet service provider networks. This would be a great opportunity to work with a new vendor who is disrupting the wireless market with cost-effective and simplistic carrier grade equipment!

Technical Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and or equivalent work experience in a technical discipline.
  • Basic knowledge of LTE terminology and architecture preferred, but not required.
  • Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP networks (subnetting, routing and routing protocols, VLANs, etc.).
  • RF engineering experience in radio propagation modeling, path analysis, and frequency coordination.
  • Working knowledge of an UNIX / Linux environment.
  • Basic knowledge of virtualized server environments.
  • Must be able to work both independently and together in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Web Developer

Description:

FiSci Technologies is a budding, high-tech company looking for enthusiastic talent in Madison, Wisconsin. We are currently in need of a Web Developer who would be responsible for maintaining our website and coding custom solutions to allow us to effectively promote our products. A web developer will focus on keeping our website up to date, providing custom solutions to improve the website’s appearance, and protect the website from any potential malicious intent.

Part-time positions are available. The ideal candidate will be one who has strong work ethic and experienced in writing code for modern web applications. This is the perfect opportunity to gain experience working with an international team and developing skills while continuing your education. Contains the possibility of continuing full-time should the individual excel in fulfilling their duties and working alongside other team members.

 

Technical Requirements:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent work experience in a technical discipline.
  • Deep experience and understanding of core web programming languages such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP.
  • Experience in developing and testing web service APIs (REST/SOAP).
  • Strong understanding and experience in building UI and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Strong grasp of web security principles.
  • Experience with Git and Github.
  • Experience with Laravel PHP framework preferred, but not required.
  • Must be able to work both independently and together in a team environment.
